This is purchase is for a pair of LDA1005 tweeters, either in closed or open back version.  The closed back are useful in smaller areas where the proximity to walls makes controlling focus in the soundstage difficult.  You get the highest degree of focus but less soundstage with a closed-back tweeter.  These tweeters are smoother than the LDA1002s but not as articulate or have sparkle of the LDA1002s, so in the open back version work well with most solid state amplifiers, or less expensive digital sources.
