Since we desire to get to know the people purchasing and using our products we prefer you contact us via the emails provided so we can make sure these amplifiers will work for you in your current system. Also at this time we are only selling this amplifier within the USA, but will provide other voltage as we are able to provide versions for other countries.

The Allegro 2.0 is a vacuum tube amplifier designed to use the 6y6GT power tube center to its sonic character and power level. This amplifier makes use of new old stock tubes, so will be available for a limited time so long as tubes are available. We have purchased for several months dozens of tubes so that we could make matched pairs to be included with each amplifier purchase.

This is a sub 5 watt amplifier(the exact wattage depends on the specific pair of tubes used. Usually between 3 wattage and 5 watts, most commonly between 3w and 4w). This amplifier is meant to be used with 8 ohm speakers, higher and lower impedance can be used, but the wattage and distortion will change as well. Likewise, this amplifier works best with speakers with sensitivities over 95dbs w/m, although several are operating it with speaker less sensitive. The entire sonic signature was designed around the first watt, and the amplifier is intended to operate at its best in this region.

Careful attention was given to the musicality of this design, meaning we were willing to sacrifice some qualities that some may consider desirable for the listenability of the amplifier. We felt it should keep the listener engaged not wanting to shut it off. Other "whizz-bang" characteristics were not as important in its design. The designer wanted to design an amplifier that solved a few problems notable in single-ended amplifiers in its price range, primarily lack of both bass and treble extension. Also, an amplifier that would better mate to single driver and open baffle designs that were known to lack in bass and treble regions were felt advantageous in this price range given these sorts of speakers would likely be the choice of the individuals purchasing this amplifier.

Tube compliment included with the amplifier - 2 matched 6Y6GT tubes and 1 6N6P tube.

The Allegro 2.0 has one pair of inputs, a volume control, and two pairs of binding posts, one pair for the left channel and one for the right.

It only comes in black/silver as shown with a scratch-resistant powder coat textured finish.

This is to be considered a entry-level budget tube amplifier for those wanting the most value for the money spent. This means that the main focus was given to the sound quality of the amplifier, over perhaps more expensive parts that did not add to the best sound quality this price point could obtain.

It is our goal that if you purchase one of these amplifiers you will enjoy its ability to make music, and recreate a performance in your home.
